M and L. "Some workers serve in countries that are considered creative access, countries in which the public proclamation of the gospel is restricted. Evangelistic efforts in these countries can pose dangers to one's life, well-being or freedom."
Pray for:
- safety
- the advancement of the gospel through a variety of ways
- the growth of the Church in creative access countries
Becca desires to train leaders to be involved in church planting and evangelism to their own people. She works with the tribal districts of the Taiwan FM Conference, conducting training workshops, leading discipleship groups, and preaching and ministering in local churches, as well as at the district level. She teaches classes at Holy Light Theological Seminary in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Pray for:
- the Lukai and Paiwan districts, where most of the churches are in aboriginal mountain villages, several of which were compromised in the 2009 typhoon
- the members of the Bible study groups Becca leads, to mature and begin discipling others
- the Taiwan Conference Missions Committee as it deepens its commitment to missions abroad and at home
- the students at Holy Light Theological Seminary to gain knowledge and experience, giving them foundations to support a lifetime of kingdom ministry
Dale is the Area Director for the Middle East and North Africa region. In this capacity he is also the Executive Director of Impact Middle East, through which the FMC serves in this region of the world. Dale and his wife, Dawn, have served with the FMC for 30 years as members of East Michigan Conference.
Pray for:
- opportunities in a challenging region
- language and cultural learning
- learning strategic priorities to reach people with the gospel of Christ

Other Missionaries
Sue Leak - United World Mission
Sue went to Morelia, Mexico with a dream of helping high risk children. By God's grace a wonderful campus has been built to be used in the ministry to these needy children. For several years they worked as a girls' home for girls who had been on the streets.
But recently direction has changed. Currently the ministry is focused on functioning as an after school program that is a safe secure place for kids to be so that they're not on the streets. The school offers homework help, tutoring, English, kid's club and craft classes.
The outreach is still being established and has lots of directions that it could go. These classes provide a spring board to share Christ with kids and their families. It is working very well.
Pray for:
- direction as the outreach grows and is established
- creative ways to share the gospel
- the children and families who participate in the after school program
